Frequently Asked Questions

How did the store come to be called MacBeth & Co.?

If your name was Beth McCarthy and your daughter-in-law was an English teacher, what other name would be possible?

Do you ship?

Do you have gift certificates?

Yes, in any denomination and with no expiration date. We also have Bridal and Baby Registries.

What’s with all the number 1, on t-shirts and stuff?

The name of the Village of Onekama comes from a native word (“oneka-ma-engh”) meaning “portage”. The correct pronunciation is oh-NECK-a-mah. Based on how it is spelled, more people than you would think possible call it “one comma”. As we love the spoof, we carry hats, t-shirts, sweatshirts, onesies, stickers and magnets emblazoned (tastefully) with 1,. Now you know. OK. Now what’s with all the M-22 stickers I see everywhere?

How long have you been in operation?

MacBeth & Co. was started in Onekama in 2004.
